Google Meet Is A Video-Conferencing Application: Tips And Tricks

Google Meet is a video-conferencing application. It’s a business-oriented version of Google’s Hangouts platform and is suitable for businesses of all sizes. The solution enables users to form video calls with up to 30 users per high definition video meeting.

The app allows users to hitch pre-scheduled meetings from calendar lender events, select a link, enter a gathering code, and dial from their phone if the invitation includes a telephone number. Google Meet integrates with Google Calendar and Gmail’s G Suite versions and shows a complete list of participants and scheduled meetings. It shows the “Join” button for users to join the meeting and provides options to mute and close the video during the meeting.

On your desktop/laptop

  • 1: Enter a video call
  • 2: Choose “Present Now” which appears in the bottom-right corner
  • 3: Here, choose between the options – entire screen, window, tab.
  • 4: Once selected, hit the “Share” button.

On Android phone

The process of sharing a screen on your Android phone is similar.

  • 1: Enter a video call
  • 2: Choose the three dots menu to select “Present Screen.”
  • 3: You will receive a prompt about ensuring no sensitive information is inadvertently presented to participants.

On iPhones

To share and present your screen on an iPhone or iPad, here’s what you need to do.

  • 1: Enter a video call through the Google Meet app
  • 2: Choose the three dots menu to select “Present Screen.”
  • 3: Tap on the “Start Broadcast” button
  • 4: Your screen will be shared with participants.

Note that you can stop presenting at any point you want whether you’re on desktop/PC or Android or iOS.
